It was supposed to be fantastic. It wasn't.
It merely gets a 'good' from me.
Sure, the action sequences were great and everything, but the fact that they rushed so much plot worth like...two years of comic strips into it was a bit much for me. The simultaneous building of the story was good, but I think they got too caught up in it. Some of it were actually quite boring.

Although the timing of certain frames were quite good.
I tried to scare Ed and Jourdan, but that was impossible. Its friggin the human spider, not the Ring.

And some of it were quite vague. What? Are we supposed to ignore that a meteorite hit the Earth and nobody noticed it? That a couple making out could fail to feel a heat blast that must've at least shaken its surroundings or at least make a sound as it burns up due to atmospheric friction? How about the fact that sand. ie. silicon can just break into your dna structure that took thousands of year to mutate.

But the movie action sequences, like I said, were good. And as a kid with raging hormones and the desire to kill, this cathartic experience was worth it.

Not as good as 300 but not bad either. It still deserves to be watched in cinemas, rather than on DVD.
