This blog is dedicated to myself, Cambridge Wong. I don't blog here often, and have neglected it for years. Nevertheless, this is the only place I have ever attempted to log my life. So as long as I can remember that I have a blog, and can bother to visit it, I will try to make an update. Thank you

Henry's Piss Up / Monday, September 22, 2008

I'm on my mid-sem break at the moment, and it feels fantastic to finally have time to breathe again. To celebrate, I have already done many things, but I would like to talk about Henry's pissup last night as the main 'awesome' event so far.

Firstly, however, Happy 19th birthday to Henry, and congratulations for hooking up with Sisi. ;) Long time coming brother XD
Isn't this just 'awww....'
As part of our 'unofficial' celebrations for the man, we held a drinking pissup night at the Meriton Hotel in the city. Man, was it pricey. All that alcohol... Props to Moussa for the brilliant suggestion and the excellent work with all the drink mixing. That much alcohol for 10 ppl is just phenomenol.
So as it is with these sort've drinking events, all restraints were off and we downed drink after drink after drink. And after many months of heated debate on the matter, it is now accepted that asians who do medicine can drink! (Daniel and I made it all the way to 17!! That's right! 17! PB!! woot! But even better is that we both now know our limit before we puke our brains out)

I must admit right now that some events of the night are a bit hazy still, but I can still remember bits and pieces here and there. All sorts of games were played, ranging from the classic 'Operation!' to Speed, and then things got rowdier and rowdier as we got more and more drunk.

And then we get to the part where we all want to regret doing. I can't really remember too much, but I think there were some wrestling games, watching Harold and Kumar to White Castle (about the stage where everybody was either so drunk they couldn't move/talk, or when everybody was so drunk they started doing really random shit)

I personally regret what I did when I was drunk, so I am extremely sorry to all those people I called up last night between 2am - 3am. I was drunk and totally regret anything that I may/may not have said in the process. I really don't know what I have said but by looking at my phone call durations and text messages, but if I said something completely random or interesting could you please tell me?

It was awesome fun. Cheers guys.

Alcoholic Disease / Saturday, September 6, 2008
"Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.'"

Okay okay, so its a new theme. Well, technically, not that new of a theme anymore, since I put it on a week ago and havn't bothered to do anything about it. In addition, I scabbed it off blogskins, since I have zero html experience and I feel bad if I keep asking Yi to make one for me once every half year. And yeah, I wanted an anime type of feel to it (inner nerd ftw!) and this is the result. I was also partially inspired by my spelling mistake of 'cyane' (and again, kudos to Yi for pointing that out to me).

EDIT: Quite right Yi. It is indeed 'cyan'. I'm a slow learner, I'm afraid.

Moving on, I have been quite busy lately. There's a formative exam coming up on Monday, and I as always, feel like I havn't studied for it and I really should. Don't you just hate it when you know you oughta do something and especially when you know its not too late to change things but you just sit there and go, "yeah...I'll get to it later".

That's exactly how I felt...2 weeks ago. And 2 weeks later now I'm still thinking 'yeah..tomorrow. Definitely tomorrow'. But now its mixed with a tinge of 'omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg...'.
I'm also blogging right now because I have this little lull between students coming here for tutoring. You see, you may or may not be aware of this, but, ever since I've quitted working at Kmart, I've picked up alot more tutoring students. Every Saturday, I start tutoring from 11am-5pm, then have a little break for dinner before going again till 10:30pm. Fortunately, one of my students doesn't regularly show up in the 7pm slot, so I get a little more time off.

And I just sit there during the lessons, teaching, teaching and teaching...all the while staring at the clock. I don't mean to do it deliberately, but after you've taught the student and she's busy doing the question (yeah, all female students. Guys don't want tutoring or something?!), there's nothing to do except turn your pen and...look at the clock!

Okay, no more time to talk now, student is coming in! Blog next week this time maybe? XD
