*Dum dum dum* ...and the plot thickens! / Monday, July 27, 2009
Long time no blog!
Heaps of foshizzle's been happn' yo! Its like the blood's fryin and the knuckle's are poppin' and I walk down the road and scream out "FIDDY CENT! Wut up"...something something gangster.
Lol, yeah, not very, Cam, not very.
Anyhoos, how are we all? Happy? Sad? Just generally pissed off that uni's already started? Yeah, I'm feeling all that too! You know how some people can write really insightful blogs about things that really makes them sound they've come to a really astounding conclusion about life? I totally realised today that I"m not one of those people - and as a result - my blogs are actually kind of bland.
In addition, I'm not one of those people who can write about simple stuff and make it seem incredibly funny! =/ Most probably because I can't retain those details enough and have already laughed all the humour out of that would-be situation. Or lastly, it could just be because I like using words that make no sense. =)
In any case, I suppose it would only be right for me to post up some photos of what I've been up to anyway.
First things first, should kick things off with some new clothing additions that from what other people have told me, totally revamped (or reinforced) my sense of style. There were a couple of neat jackets that I bought over the holidays, but sadly, I fail at taking luvos (or that I lack the patience to actually try...) so no photos of those purchases. Perhaps one day when they become old clothes you'll see photos of me somewhere in them. xD
I have recently been the proud owner of my new black plasticy PRADA glasses. Yay! =D Except for the fact that I wanted those glasses waay back when i was in year 10, i realised that I do quite still love those thick frames sorta things. No longer would I need to wear stupid skinny lightweight frames that always makes me worry if they're there or not, because these are perfect!
Let's see...I am about to buy this shirt I saw at Jay Jays. Yay or nay? I'm hoping that we are all in accordance of yay and I will buy this shirt the next time I visit.

ITS PATRICK!! =O YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!
As far as uni is concerned, I'm already finished with the pituitary gland and done the whole reproductive cycle yadeyada yada. All actually quite boring stuff and on a whole - rather disturbing. I have now seen what no man should ever have to see in his life - explosive blood vaginas. That is all I want to and have to say on that topic.
However, some parts have been fun. At hospital we had to practice breast examinations on each other. So you can kinda guess where this is going to go - pretty much a lot of boys being boys and running around the corridors with our massive fake boobs. "They feel like bagsth of sandth...*nerd smile*"

(As you would expect, the girls just spent the time 'tutting' at us whilst examining our breasts lol)
But hey, guess this means I'm now practised in the arts of feeling for breast lumps, cysts, adenomas and other cancers and whatnot. Volunteers anyone? xD
As you can kinda see, my hair was getting kind of long there...Too long by my measure in any case. Beforehand, I've been trying for weeks to convince my hairdresser to cut my hair, but every single time, he'd be like, "you sure? I don't think its long enough yet..." and I'd sigh and leave, thinking, "fiiiinne...". But last week, I couldn't take it anymore, so I decided to get a chop, snip and haircut.
I wanted to dye my hair too, but since I'm doing my full licence test soon, I wanted to have black hair on a photo ID that I'm going to hold for the next 5 or so years. (Man...I'm getting old).
Lastly, just wanted to put it out there that you are simply awesome, o sweet one. <3

Oh, yeah, here's proof of my glasses and haircut lol. =D

hehe...

Tra la la la la~ Let the quirkiness begin!! xoxo

Until next time!

I've gotten my results back!
They went good, but not so good.
I averaged 54 in all my exams, so that's actually my best mark I've ever gotten in uni. XD
That's kinda spastic come to think of it.
I failed two exams, but passed the other two. I'm kinda cut that I failed two on scores of 46 and 47. (But then again, giving the circumstances surrounding my exam period, quite understandable.)
Got 63 and 60 for the other two.
So basically, I can only fail one more exam this sem. I'll try my best! Esp since this sem is meant to be heaps easier than last sem, I'm hoping I won't fall into too much trouble.
Extremely pleased with my results. Did you know that 30% of my cohort failed this sem?! That's unbelievable! =O I mean, we all complained that the content in the exams did not reflect the content taught in the semester, but still...30% is really quite something.
The highest mark was 78, so not one single HD. Middle 50% of the grade got between 52-55, so that pretty much tells you just how hard these exams were.
Will try my best to improve!! ><

In other news, hospital now has a casual fridays policy which I'm not minding at all. =)
No need to look as spiffy as you normally have to, but again, nice to see that even in hospital environments that they're adopting new strategies to improve working conditions.

Picking up books at UNSW: Only about the cost of the bus to and fro.
Train ticket: $4 return for a student to the city
Pizza Hut on George Street: $30 for two people on an all you can eat spree. V. full. reminds me of all the Pizza Hut RESTAURANTS they have in Hong Kong. New experience for me in Sydney, seeing how I've only ever ordered pizza from that place.
Ferris Wheel: $20 for a couple. Lasts about 10-15minutes. V. nice view of the harbour.
Chinatown markets: Again more sight seeing. Night markets is a new experience for me. There was a quick stop to Morning Glory (the one in Chinatown seems to have eternal 50% off. Didn't know that they had a sticky machine inside - $10.
Sidenote: I want those Dragonball figurines inside Morning Glory. I was very depressed I had to leave my collection behind in Hong Kong. Excellent chance to rebuild my collection of model figuirines.
2nd Sidenote: mentioning how much you like a particular anime (not cartoon ><") isn't the best way to impress a girl.
Haymarket Petstore: The lil doggy inside was crying. Was very sad to see...
Phone call afterwards to see if we got home safely: Priceless ('3' to '3' lol)
----------
Original plan to watch Harry Potter was destroyed the moment we saw the line. Not in that great a rush to see it anyway. =/ Does anybody have the 5th or 6th book? I want to re-read after you're done rereading it.
------------
To do list:
---
Taking those tram/train rides that go around Darling Harbour: $4 per adult. Always wanted to go on one but never did because most times think its unnecessary money. Great winner if girl is wearing heels and doesn't want to walk.
Chinese Tea Gardens: $3 concession

Myers-Briggs personality type: ENTP / Monday, July 13, 2009
Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Perceptive
Thanks to Bonnie for discovering this quizz, I was actually really impressed with the result! =O Because I've never really thought I belonged to a set personality type, I was doubly impressed when I researched and found validity with its source.
It turns out I'm a ENTP.
The ENTP has been described variously as the innovator,[11] the originator,[12] the lawyer,[13] the inventor,[14] the explorer,[15] and the visionary.[13] ENTPs also fall into the general categories of thinkers, rationals, and engineers.[16] Using their primary function-attitude of extraverted intuition (Ne), ENTPs are quick to see complex interrelationships between people, things, and ideas. These interrelationships are analyzed in profound detail through the ENTPs auxiliary function, introverted thinking (Ti). The result is an in-depth understanding of the way things and relationships work, and how they can be improved. To the ENTP, competence and intelligence are particularly prized, both in themselves and in other people.
ENTPs are frequently described as clever, cerebrally and verbally quick, enthusiastic, outgoing, innovative, flexible, loyal and resourceful. ENTPs are motivated by a desire to understand and improve the world they live in. They are usually accurate in sizing up a situation. They may have a perverse sense of humor and sometimes play devil's advocate, which can create misunderstandings with friends, coworkers, and family. ENTPs are ingenious and adept at directing relationships between means and ends. ENTPs "think outside the box," devising fresh, unexpected solutions to difficult problems. However, they are less interested in generating and following through with detailed plans than in generating ideas and possibilities. When ENTPs are used correctly on a team, they offer deep understanding and a high degree of flexibility and problem solving ability. The ENTP regards a comment like "it can't be done" as a personal challenge, and, if properly motivated, will spare no expense to discover a solution.

I did the quizz here: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp
I found it an adequate description of myself and actually learnt alot about myself. 2% of the total population ftw!

Mandarins vs Oranges / Sunday, July 12, 2009
Let's take this slowly this time round. =) I'm giving you all the power of choice this time around, so no more jokes and no more games. I've had a lot of fun with you these few weeks, and I can tell that you're looking at me the same way I look at you.
Make or break? I laugh in the face of that. We'll see how well we can make this work during semester. =)

Labels: music

Relationship advice / Wednesday, July 8, 2009
The following is copied pasted out of a msn conversation I had with a friend a few nights ago in regards to her recent breakup with her ex. She wanted to know how I was getting through mine and I typed up a spiel just so she may gain an insight to my thought processes.
edit: Please bear in mind this was written at like 2am. So if it doesn't make sense, sorry. It probably
seemed like a good idea at the time.
-----
"being single again for the past few weeks have brought back a lot of stuff I didn't realise I'd had lost when I was in a relationship and now I realise that I can use those things to help improve my next one
hanging with different crowds, and looking at how the singletons interact with each other and i've noted my own exchange with various other single girls barring what I can't remember or what I did when I was drunk, there are a couple of things I've learnt about myself.
1. I must be confident in myself. Confidence can be shattered in relationships, but they can also be rebuilt when you are single. That's all it really means to be 'ready' for the next relationship.
all a matter of 'confidence' in yourself, and 'confidence' in that potential partner. I don't like throwing the word 'trust' in there, only because trust denotes a more personal understanding of that person, which can be seriously lacking if there is no foundation for that 'trust' in that first place. I think that was a lesson that was present in ur relationship with kel, confusing 'confidence' with 'trust'.
2. I just need to widen my eyes a bit more to see who's truly looking with similar interests like myself, and those who only want a bit of fun teasing etc. Its hard to tell in the beginning how to distinguish those flirting with you to see if you're worth sticking with, and those who only want to flirt with you because they can and want to. Because If I know that, I can avoid a lot of worthless time-wasting between relationships
3. In these holidays alone, true, I have been approached by a girl on one occasion where there might have been something going on, but I must always remember the lessons I've learnt before and not let pure physical attraction get in the way of what I'm looking for. Rather, focus my attention at looking at girls who I feel deserve that attention, and can reciprocate that.
4) I've also listened to a fair share of break up/make up stories these holidays, which like i said, is v. common during exam periods. Each one yields a wealth of information that you can use to arm yourself with in the future. Just because it didn't happen to yourself doesn't mean that you can't learn something from it. so if you wondered how I'm so patient with you and can still find positive things to say about it afterwards, its all merely my thanks to you for allowing me to privy to that information. And that, is what I call true 'trust'.
5) Lastly, based on all those lessons I've learnt above, it initially did seem that I had enough in there to easily find the type of person that I want/need, but of course, reality begs to differ. I know that some may want to call it 'rushing', but to me, not only is that concept more seemingly like another's excuse, but is also a very subjective term. Through my interactions with other girls in general, I have felt potential sparks with certain individuals. Its a powerful and shocking feeling, and definitely one I wish to explore with further detail.
Again, just knowing these things isn't enough. This is where what people call 'fate' or 'luck' comes in. Unfortunately, a large amount of the time, its all due to 'circumstances' and 'chance' which determine what type of people you meet and at what instance you meet them at, because it is very easy to miss a chance with someone just because of a circumstance didn't allow you to talk to him/her properly enough for you to realise that there may be something there.
I hope i've written enough there to satisfy you tonight. I'm really typed out now."
