I passed =) / Thursday, December 17, 2009
Biggest sigh of relief.
Thank god I passed.
Am v. happy. Now a chirpy 3rd year. Life is great.
Also, big congrats to my sister for kicking butt for her HSC. For security purposes, cannot reveal her marks nor her ATAR, but rest assured she'll definitely probably most likely be doing engineering @ UTS.
Big love sis.
In other news, been starting to play basketball with the balls. I feel crap. ='( Didn't score a single basket, even though we won at like 55 points or something. I had enough game time, but just didn't take any shots. Well, i shot one, but I missed. That's what I get for not warming up before the game and just making it last minute. Sigh... "I need to train", that's what I said to myself.
And TRAIN I did!! Today, at the park, I spent from 2pm till 9pm at the park just playing basketball. 7 hours!! THAT"S RIGHT!! I am so friggin tired right now though...but all worth it. As a result, I most likely won't be attending KGV tomorrow.
---------------------------
House parties!! Much fun. Pretty much all I've been doing since holidays started. For my blog's benefit, my entire family's been away on holidays for ages now. Mum will be back soon, Dec 27th, and Rain and Dad will come back Jan 3rd.
Going to buy U-Sing for Wii (its pretty much Singstar for wii), so thanks Ray! Will pay you back ASAP!
Being home alone is kinda cool, but also a lot of work. I never really had to take care of myself before, and its definitely a good experience! Washing clothes, washing dishes, cooking dinner, taking the trash out, feeding the chickens, vacuuming the house, paying the bills etc etc, the list goes on!
--------------------------
Also slight rant:
i) I heavily dislike people who hold grudges. That aint cool. Nor logical. Nor fair. I suppose the best way to deal with these sort've people is to just avoid them, since they don't want to see you anyway, I'm sure they won't mind. Personally, being nice to them just doesn't work. =/ From now on, I'm just going to ignore them. You can't please everyone, and in my defence, its not like I havn't tried. So there! *points at conscience*
ii) I need more cash. I need to ...buy...stuff *stabs conscience*

Getting Picked Up... / Monday, August 10, 2009
So I was on my way home last night, and was changing trains from redfern back to Illawarra line, when I got onto the Cronulla train. After getting in, I saw the train was indeed packed (peak hour blah blah), and spied a seat near the doors (middle compartment? Do they have a name for the horizontal seats?) and sat down.
Upon sitting down, this rather pretty asian girl runs in and makes the train, and sat down next to me. At first, I didn't notice her at all, busy listening to my music and just being really bone-tired after a long day of Cityfail transport. But then she kept fidgeting around, looking this way and that, and generally, just from my peripheral vision, being extremely suss.
Then at Sydenham, she got up, rushed to the door, looked out, then sat back down. Then rushed up again, looked out, and started walking back. I stifled a laugh and just continued to listen to my music. But then when she sat down next to me, she asked me if I knew when the train would get to Hurstville.
I replied, "Oh..huh? Umm...Hurstville is 3-4 stops away. You gotta wait past Wolli, Rockdale and Kogarah before Hurstville. But don't worry, I get off at Hurstville too, so I'll just tell you when to get off..."
Then out of nowhere, we had a conversation going on somehow, with her continuously talking and me rather confused and left wondering where my sleep-time had gone. Turns out she lives in Parra, and was having dinner with her mum, who was waiting in Hurstville etc etc...
BUT...my long winded story really eventuates to this:
How often have you been on a train ride and actually struck conversation with a stranger? As in, a decent long conversation...not those two lined ones.
And for you girls, how often have you been picked up by some stranger?
And for any guys reading this, how often have you picked up some stranger?
-------------------
Mind you, I didn't get picked up, because if I did, I probably wouldn't be alive right now XD (just think: Capital rage by the gf), but I think I came awfully close to being asked my number, had I not actually mentioned that I wasn't actually single. =O
Is there something more attractive about taken guys?
Is there something more attractive about taken girls?
(I personally don't think so...)
------------------------
------------------------
I would also like to wish Rainbow the very best of luck during her Trials. Good luck girl! I know you can whoop ass if you try your hardest! =D =D
(In addition, good luck to Kirsty for your chem trial! Prove to me that you paid attention to me during our 1 year of tutoring T_T...I'm kinda counting on you lol)
=D

Today, I found hope and peace / Tuesday, June 16, 2009
..realised something.

"There is always hope"
P.S. On a sidenote, just watched the trailer for Time Traveller's Wife. I so can't wait for it to come out!
P.P.S. I recently (as of start of stuvac) decided to pick up on some mangas I stopped reading a bit over 2 year agos. (My logic back then was that I was tired of waiting for weekly releases, so I'll just wait for the series to finish first and then just read it all).
Out of all of them, I think this one had the most meaning to me.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles.
To the layman, the characters probably look familiar, no? Sakura and 'Li' or 'Syaoran' from Cardcaptor Sakura?
Yup, that's right. Well, not really. I read all the way up to chapter 222 from chapter 47 (where I left off) and I can only say 'WAAWOOOOOOOWWWW...'.
I thought it was just a completely different storyline/universe from CCS but no! I can't believe I saw the actual CCS characters again.
So that's my pick. Ties in a bit of my childhood with a bit of my high school self. Don't you just love that feeling when the pieces of a puzzle falls all into place?
P.P.P.S. I have my last anatomy exam tmr. But I just can't concentrate and study properly for that. I feel like I know it all already, but you know..that's usually the feeling you'd regret having the moment you walk in and face ultimate GG.
Oh, and last P.P.P.P.S for fun. I like having this final reminder for you.
Don't move too fast. I know that it sometimes feels like progress, but really, that's more like expansion. One day the balance will go askew and you'll find yourself falling off.
But then again...you take the risks, you reap the bigger rewards...
Who's to say what's right or wrong, after all...

London, October 10th, 2007
London Bridge is falling down...Humming the tune of a small well known nursery rhyme, Rachel Contrapasso lightly and delicately stepped out of the light plane, glancing at the forever raining city with a repressed sense of nostalgia. Home…it’s such a short-lived word, the pervading darkness an echo of the past and a glimpse of the future. Her eyes watered from the strong memories, but her hands clenched in anticipation.
There was no logical explanation for it. Just a 19 year old conviction of faith and hateful will for retribution that she’s fed and raised, and like all things wild, needed to be released one day to its source. The wind blew in her face, its cold bite a sharp reminder of her reality and another slapping reminder of what home truly felt like.
She glanced at her travel guide and quickly located the Thames, her other hand fiddling with a small, brown metal key in the depths of her purse, acknowledging the wet weather by pulling her overbearing waistcoat tightly around her waist. The pain women have to put up with for fashion... She smiled absently, looking at the mirror of her rented car and into the right blue empty eye for any warmth, and agreed with the outcome, whilst staring at the green left eye, and sinking into its depths…
A blur of a warm palette of colours and emotions, a dash of laughter and a sprinkle of trust, all mixed together in a tightly bound sushi people called ‘family’. Rachel Contrapasso remembered something similar too, somewhere embedded in her forlorn past. She was raised in what would have been a family unit, in what was every child’s right and the building foundation of their childhood.
She could still hear her own cries and the deep soothing voices that must have belonged to her father and ‘mother’. She could remember the joys of discovering unknown toys; the wonders of the different smells and the excitement at the interactions of society. Although all these were good and well, what she remembered most of all was what she had not remembered; the lapses of darkness between memories that filled up most of the time in transitions. The first game of hide and seek, followed by the first bicycle fall and followed by the same voices that drifted in and out of consciousness.
She loved her father, treasured every living moment they had together and it was him she resembled more than she did to her mother; they were both heterochromatic. It was their little bond, something that nobody else had and could share. But the thing she missed most of all were the rhymes that he told and the stories that he whispered.
Every night, without fail, she would have him sing the same nursery rhyme, regardless of whatever bedtime story preceded it. ‘
My Fair Lady’ he would also call her, and that meant the world to a six year old girl. Holding onto the key her father gave her, she would keep it around her neck, hoping she’d find her own treasure she could lock up one day.
But there was something unusual about one particular evening. When her father finally comprehended what it was, it was already too late. He would never see her again.
Falling down…falling down…‘Is this the place?’ Rachel stared at the house, squinting to recognize any features which might spark a memory jog. ‘Wait…this must be it. It looks the same as the photo’
Rachel muttered under her breath, walking up to the modest brick building and sighed.
‘I’ve waited 19 years already. What’s a couple more hours? This place does ring oddly familiar, even though I haven’t been here in such a long time. They’ve re-decorated, added a garage, but its still the same. My rightful home…’
Rachel returned to her car, waiting for her ‘mother’ to return, “Home”, she whispered.
‘And so it begins…’
She had cried afterwards. Pretending to be asleep when she saw the blood leak in front of her; his warmth and protection leaking into a crimson puddle on the carpet of her room, and she struggled not to make a sound.
He never saw it coming, and neither did Rachel. As if in slow motion, she could see and rewind that moment clearly, the muffler on the gun recoiling from that trembling hand, straight into her father’s back. And there was no fuss too. The blood was cleaned, the bullet removed and any forensic evidence removed. The body was dumped into the Thames from the bridge and nobody knew the wiser. As for Rachel, Theresa Contrapasso thought she was ignorant of the matter, and so was spared.
For Theresa, there was no reason to dispose of her daughter as well. She only needed to be rid of her husband in order to wed her boyfriend. There was the need. Filing for divorce wouldn’t give her the house; their relationship was never stable and the court would never award full custody over Rachel because of her alcoholism.
But when Rachel ran away, her mother didn’t feel any remorse either. True, she loved her. But her fear of someone ever knowing the truth was greater. Rachel had vowed to avenge her father, and when she was taken in as an orphan and raised in Sydney, she knew she would do as she said some day…
Rachel knew that one day she’d have her tit for a tat. If Theresa wasn’t punished by British law, then she must be punished another way. How dare she take what wasn’t hers away from her? And to add insult to injury, she got full possession of all her father’s property as a by-product of some loophole! She would make Theresa fall and suffer for every moment of anguish it caused Rachel.
London Bridge is falling down…Rachel watched the car pull onto the driveway and saw an older woman step out and slowly walk into the house. Anger flared in Rachel’s heart. It was her. Rachel quickly moved into action, but made sure to keep herself under control.
She went up and delicately knocked onto the door, waiting with the chloroform cloth behind her coat. Rachel smiled at the thought, ‘She probably can’t recognise me now that I’ve grown up. Good, it’ll only work in my favour”
Rachel forced a cheery smile when Theresa answered the door and started, “Hello-“
Her mother stared at her for a second, then snapped, “If you’re selling something, I don’t want any of it!” So saying, she turned to close the door.
Rachel’s eyes narrowed; her blue eye reflected her anger for a moment before she attacked, smothering her mother with the cloth, and quickly sensed her mother falling into unconsciousness as she breathed the fumes.
“Take a key and lock her up,Lock her up, Lock her up.Take a key and lock her up,My fair lady.”Carefully, Rachel lowered the soundly breathing figure of her mother into her trunk and straightened her coat, ruffled by the physical exchange…and waited again.
How will we build it up,Build it up, Build it up,How will we build it up,My fair lady? Her new husband was just as easy to capture. Not a minute longer than her mother. With both in her trunk, Rachel drove off, humming the next verse of the nursery rhyme, happily anticipating the next great act in completing her revenge.
She had pondered this next stage for a long time now; cannot deciding how to properly restore her father’s honour.
However, she had finally reached her verdict as to what to do:
She tied the two of them together; the sick murderers and tossed them in a concrete coffin she had prepared for this occasion, before driving off to do them off the same way she knew her father was rid off.
As she reached the great Thames river, she suddenly felt this huge surge of doubt stab her, ‘Was she any better than her mother? Her mother had done murder to suit her purposes. Didn’t she hate her for it? But isn’t she doing the same thing right now?’
She shook off those thoughts, “I have to do this! I must! This isn’t about me…its for father!”
Build it up with stone so strong,Stone so strong, Stone so strong.Build it up with stone so strong,My fair lady. She opened the coffin and smiled; her victims were now awake. Her mother kicked and squirmed but couldn’t make a discernible word through her gagged mouth.
Rachel looked down at her, “You don’t recognise me? Look closer”. So saying, she bent down and looked at her mother straight eye to eye, taking pleasure as her mother’s own eyes widened in horror at her eyes; ‘yes, the same eyes as your dead husband! The one you murdered! My father!’
Rachel kicked her and closed the lid, taking one last look at her mother and her lover before shutting it and pushing it into the river. The magic of her revenge lies in the key in her purse, the only thing that can open the coffin. The coffin wasn’t airtight, with water able to pour in through the very same keyhole so they would drown soon, and the coffin wouldn’t be found because of its weight, and would eventually be covered by dirt as the currents rolled in its southerly course.
“Say hi to Dad for me, would you Mum?”
Stone so strong will last so long,Last so long, Last so long.Stone so strong will last so long,My fair lady.Rachel enjoyed the sight from her car; the brilliance of the stormy night in the beautiful city of London, and closed her eyes as the lights of the city shone with an amber warmth she finally felt after years of isolation and cold calculation.
She drove off and over the river, tossing her treasured key into the river below and was finally free of her restraints and able to pursue her own goals; to start her new life in a city she could finally call ‘home’.
Rachel hummed the nursery rhyme for the last time of her life.

Cam:
Here will be no glory in your sacrifice. I will erase even the memory of the HSC from the histories. Every piece of English parchment shall be burned. And every Chemical knowledge, and every law of physics shall have their 7 markers reduced, and their options cut from their cores. Why, uttering the very name of HSC, or UAI will be punishable by death. The world will never know you existed at all...until November the 5th.
You bring the crowns and heads of conquered students to my house steps. You insult my brain. You threaten my sanity with induction and probability! Oh, I've chosen my words carefully, n00b.
------------------------------
HSC:
07'ers, lay down your pens!!!
Cam:
Come and get them!!
-------------------------------
HSC:
Perhaps you should have done the same!
This is blasphemy! This is madness!
Cam:
Madness...? THIS... IS... OUR FUTURE!
[
Kicks the hsc down a well]
This is where we hold them! This is where we fight! This is where they die!
[plays dramatic LOTR-style music]
07'ers! Ready your breakfast and eat heartily, for
Tomorrow we dine in HELL!!
*Cam charges his pen across the rugged HSC English Booklets*

Extension English Trial / Tuesday, August 28, 2007
okay, I'm going to be totally honest right now (which is something I rarely do in real life, let alone in a stupid public blog open for the world to read).
You ready for it?
Sure?
Okaaaaaayyyy.....
*takes a deep breath*
I'M GOING TO FUCKING FAIL EXTENSION ENGLISH IN 2 HOURS AND THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
WITH ALOT OF GG'S IN THE MIDDLE!!!!!
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG...
ITS IN LIKE 3 HRS AND I'VE JUST FINISHED WRITING MY ESSAY AND CREATIVE...
*sob
what if i just slit my wrist right now....
hmm...
edit:
lol..when I got to school, there was this like..major major accident off cleveland street (again) and I just made the test.
Some poor guy died I think because I saw a body and white sheet covering him/her next to this trashed up motorbike. When I was at Central I was like, why is the bus moving so slow, and when everybody started going on detoured roads, I was only thinking about myself and how late I was, and when I started running off the bus towards the blocked road of Cleveland, then it struck me something serious had happened.
It was just crazy...poor guy...
as for the test itself, it wasn't as bad as I thought. Since there was no way in hell I could remember the essay+creative i'd written, I completely winged that test. Made up quotes and critics and dates and stuff. I even made up an entire supplementary. I was originally going to use an anime as a supplementary(OTAKU!!!), but then decided that'll probably work against me...
so i changed the anime Rurouni Kenshin into a novel written in 1893 during the Meiji period instead of as an anime about the Meiji Period in 1996.
Only one test to go!!
(I drove home from Hurstville after two schooners and didn't display my P plates...@_@. Pffftt....like I was going to crash anyway! *looks away*)

Yeah, I'm doing anything I can to avoid thinking about extension English. If there is any way I am so going to fail that. Good thing its only worth 10%. Yay. So even I screw up, I lose like 3%. Oh well, its not like even if I rip tomorrow's test, its going to change any of the ranks anyway.
hehehe. I just thought about replacing the term 'witch' with 'bitch'. Haha...now that would be closer to reality XD.

I actually thought it was going to be the Potassium thiocyanide pract. T__T
Surprisingly, the pract wasn't as gg as I initially assumed.
The graph would definitely be the decider in this test, being worth 6 marks.
Remembering the Haber process formula helped answer the last question. Phew.
Yearly practical was way harder than this, so that's good. =)
The bass from the music player was like crazily good for studying.
Richard Yang tricked me into bringing my laptop today. Grr.....
I then proceeded to play Little Fighter and Dragonball on it before the exam.
All in all, an enjoyable day.
Little Fighter is v. fun. Spammed heaps of hours on it.

To Celebrate 100th post / Saturday, August 4, 2007
The road ahead will be a struggle.
The path I see uncertain.
When I wander down an aimless path, am I running, walking..swimming?
Can I even glimpse and envision what is ahead? For surely I would trip otherwise.
'Not another journey' I hope, because that would surely be a pain.
If I was to ponder life's many more mysteries, I couldn't be more certain..
if there's a difference between the blinding light
or the enveloping darkness.
Now, don't confuse me with labels, descriptions or mere appraisal
nor dictate, command or expect
For I shall conform to none
As this is my nature
Don't ignore the youth in the back on your journey home
his is probably more worth the telling
Don't ask him though! Please don't!
He probably wouldn't tell. Now, why would he?
He's just a stranger to you, and vice-versa, you're just a stranger to him.
Hearts are not meant to be wrenched open
but coaxed, by patience not words
In every hole, there is only a few key that fits and
The key is the bond between you, and you the forger,
has to decide how to make that perfect key
that fits.
It's strange, how life passes by.
One moment you're on the train for the first time
the next,
you're on the train the last.
Six years of memories, six years of joy
Five years of friendship, five years of bonds
Four years of learning, four years of skills
Three years in reflection, three years of hope
Two years of hardship, two years of pain
One year of studying, one year of grief...
One month of anxieties, one month of solitude
Only one week until fate..
decides when you fall into the shade..
...or rise into the cloud
I hope its the latter.
Happy 100th post~

~ Interviews + Chocolate Selling ~ / Friday, June 22, 2007
A late happy birthday to Victor (sent him a sms y'day anyway) so he knows XD
Just a quick post to update things
-English sucked...not bad, but not good. Wrote 7.5 pages
-Chocolate selling has been a success, with me being $23 off breakeven now. I need to thank all the juniors in my school who just can't help but help giving me cash to feed their fat prepubescent bodies. Also need to thank Sydney Girls for their generous help in unloading the extra chocolate I have. I'm extremely grateful they didn't eat me alive, only ripping my box to bits. Note to self: Sell the snakes/dinosaurs/freddos to the guys. Sell Cadbury Crunchies to girls. Always smile and look like you know something they don't and the girls will definitely buy something off you. Remember to target girls sitting down in groups because Peer pressure works. If one buys, they'll be another who buys. Then after the others will borrow money just to buy, ending in a chaotic rush at my box and incessant noise, "Do you have this? Do you have that? Is your hair real?"
Was quite annoyed today when not 1, not 2 but 3 girls came up to me and touched my hair, then said, "omg! Its reeaaallll! I thought it was a wig!" I was gobsmacked and mortified at wig idea.
- Changed my jersey naammmee! woot.. Lol, best jersey name I heard today was Darcy's jersey name: Mr. Darcy (et tu, girls?)
- Got an interview from UTS about their co-op BaCC program of accounting.
- Just got off the phone with a spokesman from PWC giving me an interview for their cadetship accounting.
- Need to do ext. english now for monday.
- Also need to hand in my medicine application form to office.
Mood: My mouth exploded from smiling. Don't feel like chocolate.
Music: Christina Aguillera - Candyman (how ironic...)

So 7 exams in all. I actually quite like my timetable, even if there is 3 exams in one week.
But Maths isn't such a biggie, so I'm cool with it. (obviously not to some people, so I feel for you if the above criterion applies to you)
What I am displeased with is the fact I only have two days between English and Chemistry, which is simply gay. Why not make it the Thursday or Friday? I'd feel heaps better if I had three days of study rather than two. Again, opinions differ.
Well, my timetable only spans about 17 days, so I'm grateful for that. That would at least mean I can get a good deal of partying done between then and when I'm gone for HK.
Faggotry. Not a term I use often but I feel the use of it now. Utter faggotry.
Onto other results, I have received my 4U and 3U exams back. I'm ashamed of my marks (Disclaimer: some of you would slaughter to get my marks, so if maths makes you feel bad, please ignore the paragraph that follows)
I received 4_/76 in 4U and 4_/61 in 3U. (marks are not revealed as they have not been finalised nor have I scabbed enough marks to deem it worthy to post) I kind of feel dissatisfied. Dissatisfied for having dropped out of the top 20. Dissatisfied for losing to all the Dr. Du tutoring boys AGAIN. Dissatisfied for not even being able to reach my class average. But most of all, dissatisfied because I know I could've done better.
My dad will murder me when he finds out, so I'm just going to hide it for now until I get my other results back. Hopefully I won't do that bad there.
Faggotry. Blatant use of vocabulary that may lessen my rage. Must invent a machine that converts inner rage into will power to work, then patent it before selling it to all Year 12 students. Make millions from it before converting that into a software program compatible with Microsoft and become even richer, doing all that while I complete my medicine degree.
